Our Story
SCATECH Philanthropy Fund is a charitable fund fully administered by Community Foundation of Singapore, a registered charity with Institution of Public Character status.
As a married couple, we believe one cannot teach values without practicing them - in thoughts, words and actions. Some key values we hope our two children (Jerlyn and Jerome Chua) will inherit are kindness, compassion and humility. While having the capacity to give is a blessing, the willingness to do so is a choice. We also firmly believe that whatever one gives will always come back, albeit in different forms. We wanted a manner of giving that is both structured and long lasting, hence we set up this charitable fund - opportunely on 1 Dec 2024 in commemoration of our 17th wedding anniversary, and hopefully as a legacy for our next generation.
SCATECH Philanthropy Fund aims to support various worthy causes, however with an initial focus on the Arts, Education and Migrant Workers. We hope to positively impact the community we live in through our grant making efforts. In order to ensure longevity, we commit to contribute to the charitable fund on an ongoing basis.
